Our Reference Series products are created by our in-house team to push the boundaries of 3D printing and share what we learnt with our designer community. Each design is developed using the same guidelines, constraints and components as other designs on our marketplace and represents our signature minimalist form language. Their 3D models are also available for our designers download via Create Hub.

Get to know Gantri
Why did you create Gantri Reference Series?
We believe that understanding design for manufacturing (DfM) is key to creating functional, high-quality and manufacturable products. However, designing for 3D printing - especially for use in end products, is something that most designers aren't familiar with. We created the Reference Series to show how our own ID team approaches tricky design issues such as overhangs, partition and overhangs so our designers and incorporate these details into their own designs.
What's your design process?
Like many design studios, we undergo an in-depth ideation process. Since each Reference Series light is meant for both consumers and designers, we go through many rounds of iterations to identify precise design goals and use cases before we even open our 3D modeling software.
What's next for the Reference Series?
We have big things in the works!
